About Us
What is counselling and psychotherapy?
Counselling and psychotherapy provide an opportunity for you to discuss issues you may be struggling with in a confidential, safe and non-judgemental environment. We can all at times feel angry, sad, worried or anxious and this is perfectly normal.
However, sometimes having the opportunity to talk openly and freely with a counsellor, someone outside of our social network, can help us make sense of our thoughts and feelings. Counselling can support us through difficult times and through self-exploration move towards a more positive and enjoyable life.
Attending counselling can help people overcome many issues and pressures. Exploring thoughts, feelings and behaviours can help with anxiety, phobias, depression and relationship difficulties. It can help feelings to be expressed and insight to be gained, starting the journey to an improved physical and emotional happier you.
Working with young people
Young people can at times feel overwhelmed by life and struggle with their thoughts and feelings. Having the opportunity to talk with a counsellor in a safe and confidential environment can enable coping strategies to be developed, helping the young person feel more confident and resilient.
